The MiSTer Add-ons Aluminum case is amazing. And the digital IO board has a dedicated switch to turn the unit on and off.

Myne has been evolving. I think its done. I have it all portable with a 4:3 screen and everything running of a 100watt pd battery. No wires. I have snack molded in and s video with analog audio out too. So cool.

"I bought this plank on etsy" made me laugh pretty hard. I imagined you buying a regular 2x4 or something. XD

Just finished building my setup. Took a lot of inspiration from and/or directly copied your build. Used my CNC to engrave the top acrylic. Turned out wonderfully. Thank you for posting this.

Would love to see a video on how you setup the MiSTerFPGA! I simply enjoy how you explain everything in your videos, that's how I was able to do the GBA SP Unhinged! Which by the way thank you!

Your self built cables are really clean looking. I’m borrowing the mesh loom and heat shrink process, thanks for the tip!

This was an excellent idea. I can't believe I haven't seen this until today.

Nice to see someone use the soldering iron to shrink the heatshrink. The times I see builders using open flames when they clearly have a soldering iron right there, amazes me. Anyhow. Yeah the MiSTer is an awesome system, complete next level emulation.

Thank you for a hardware centric video. I want to build a coffee table type arcade game so seeing how the hardware goes together is very helpful.

Tito, it's like you're reading my mind. I've just spent the last week researching MiSTer builds and then I see this video pop up on my feed.
Quality stuff like always mate!

Thanks for the inspiration! This has made me realize I'm going to DIY my own with the aluminum case from mister addons for sure. It will be fun to have this for arcade cores and anything else my Analogue consoles don't offer.

What a great build and combines my two favourite hobbies, wood working and retro gaming. I think I’m going to have to try this. Quick tip though use a Awl instead of a pencil for marking those locations for drilling you’ll have a much better time.

Alright! Reminds me of my Marantz 2230. Very nice.

You could install a classic looking stainless steel button right on the front of the wood block, and drill a hole back and up routing the wires right under one of the boards, and wire it up so that the + power goes through the button, to both of the power jacks. The input could simply be a panel mount barrel jack glued to the back of the system, or even drilled into the wood the same as the button if you want a really clean look
