Warning: If you are not a local surfer who frequents this break, don't even think about surfing here! It's beautiful but one of the most dangerous places to be in Hawaii. Countless lives are lost here every year! That doesn't just go for surfers but it includes spectators too.
China Walls was firing and beautiful during the peak of the greatly anticipated big SSW swell. These groms were killin it out there!

Obviously, one of the most beautiful surfing spots on the planet. When it is big and the direction is right. You get freight trains.

Use to surf there in the late 70’s growing up, I remember many days like this but uncrowded 😎🤙🏽

Needs a name change, (socialist walls) . Quarantined in their houses, how about freedom walls where a free people's can enjoy such a wonderful place.

Absolute perfect edit, choice of music made me want to be there.
side note - why pull out of a bomb of a wave at 1:34 could of got barrelled at the end

A spot of true beauty on Oahu, where land, surf, and sky meet. I consider myself more of a spectator on a spot like this than a participant.

An epic day at a break I grew up with...astoundingly beautiful documentation. Mahalo for this artful work about the part of Chinawalls that is rarely documented...the break on the other side of the coral heads...the break we actually used to call Chinawalls (for reasons you can clearly see in your video), but later generation folks and others here have shifted over to the rock wall we used to call Main Point. Nice coverage of both here. Thanks so much.

Lived at "The Circle" from 1992-1995, loved this spot too...that south swell in 95 was Bezerk!!!

Love your videos, awesome drone vantage and the music fits perfectly. I surf this spot on the regular and watching this video keeps me smiling even when I'm stuck behind my desk in a dark room. Excellent mind surfing meditation. Keep it up.

can be one of the best waves on the south shore, , especially when its pushing hard around the corner and starts breaking outside the boil, ,

Thank you. Reminds me of some of the happiest times of my life and surfing China Walls every time it was breaking. Long long time ago.... Mahalo

I love your China Walls video, and I love the music you used. Could you please tell me who the music is by? I would love to purchase that CD.
Thanks
Mark, from Michigan.
I know... great surf there, right?

Big mahalo’s to Mr. Kaiser for filming with the drone that day! Had some dreamy conditions for sure

Surfed Portlock Point back in 1973, lived east side in those days. It can be a very dangerous place with a rather meaty swell.

I remember the differences between it, and other Town area breaks well. The currents on a big day are treacherous as is getting in and out of the water.

This video here is exceptionally well done, and the conditions are just gorgeous for it. Sincere mahalo for bringing this to me. Excellent capture here, and yes the accompanying music is extremely well chosen also. Aloha,

Best video I’ve seen. Grew up surfing the Point, China Walls, Pillars, Seconds and Blue Moon. Great memories.

I’m from Pensacola and I surfed it back in the 90’s when I was in my 20’s, I loved it, caught one into the cove! Cool place to surf, all tucked in Hawaii Kai

portlocks not china walls--go right at china walls get killed- also there was a cliff jumping spot around the point that killed some of my friends in the late 80's-thanks for bringing back bad memories

I wish you wouldn’t have shown so much of the surrounding landscape and name the spot. It’s been getting so crowded at such a small special spot. It’s kind of an unwritten rule in surf photography. But great filming!
P.s. this is one of the deadliest spots on the south shore. Plenty of ppl have drowned or broke their back thinking it’s a lot calmer than it actually is and can’t get back in.
