Why is everyone acting as if this is a revelation? It's a lesson that used to be taught to children. My brother's and I were taught this, and we've gone on to teach our children and grandchildren- only at 9-10. Children need to know that, altho lovable, they are not the center of everyone's universe. Ego centrism has become a huge social problem.
