Bake Oven Knob - CARBON and LEHIGH County

From the top of the Blue Mountain Ridgeline protrudes a "knob" that hides a spectacular view of the counties that it separates. This protrusion is known as Bake Oven Knob or just "The Knob" by those who have traversed its rocky vista. But the fame of the Knob gains it the attraction of those who wrongfully believe that the beauty of the world isn't complete without a neon green smattering of paint proudly stating "Cooper wuz here"
Thankfully the efforts of people who actually care about the outdoors are brought to bare against these vandals. The PA Game Commission regularly partners with organizations to clean up the eyesores left, allowing everyone a chance to enjoy this natural beauty of the Pennsylvania.

Great place to hike. Yeah Lehigh Valley has alit of hidden gems to explore. Just have to find them...

You should do the Hometown Market, I would have recommended Zerns but due to it's closing this the next best option I've found.

KC, the anti graffiti efforts you touched on are compelling and a unique perspective on PA outdoors. Something that might be worth revisiting. It might end up being your edge to this enterprise.

Really awesome overlook. The graffiti is like an eye sore though taking away from the beauty of the rock formation.

Of course it's Deadheads responsible for dumb graffiti, but overall the graffiti doesn't bother me as much as they do!

No one that is very familiar with the knob wants to be on that rock you are standing on in the thumbnail. It is dramatic but if you look on the underside you can see it is supported by a few small rocks. Looks sketchy .
