🥳 Yes, absolutely!

❗ What's important to know about freezing buttermilk (and any other liquid dairy product), is that it will usually split when frozen. This is often mistaken for it having 'gone bad'.

👍 The good news is, that you can usually save dairy products by whisking or heating them if they do this!

🗑️ Always freeze in usable portions to avoid any waste, as you cannot refreeze once it has been defrosted.

🧊 If you prefer, you can freeze in an ice cube tray and store the cubes in a freezer bag. But...

🫓 By flat freezing, I find it takes up less space in my freezer, defrosts faster and gives me the option to snap pieces off so that I don't have to use the whole bag* (this only works if I don't need exact quantities for a recipe though)!

📆 Frozen buttermilk is best used within 3 months.
