This in 38" 4K is my endgame monitor. Since OLEDs are so fast I don't think 240 Hz is off the table either

For gaming im in the middle between competitive and open world casual gaming. I chose this monitor because I have a really good pc capable of pushing graphics to max at high frames so I want a great picture. I played star citizen even though it’s terribly optimized and unfinished but it is absolutely insane how detailed the blacks and colors are. I had a 27 in 1440p ips monitor before at 144hz. That’s a good enough refresh rate for me. I don’t have all the time in the world to game so oled burn in isn’t and issues for me. I play about 3-4 days out of the week and on average about 6 hours maybe.

The LG 42 C2 OLED is a TV that's popular to use as a PC monitor, ESPECIALLY for gaming. It replaces the LG 48 C1 OLED, and it's available in a smaller 42-inch size with a headphone jack and wide-set feet that make it easier to use as a PC monitor. It has gaming features most high-end TVs have, like HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, a 120hz panel, and variable refresh rate (VRR) support, but it lacks other features monitors normally have, like a DisplayPort connection and an ergonomic stand. As it's a TV, it's also easy to stream content while you're not gaming as it has a built-in smart system, a tuner, and image processing features, so you don't need to use your PC to watch movies and shows.

Awesome review! Ordered mine about three weeks ago. Sadly, it's not due to arrive until June 9th! However, that gives me time to see if there are any major flaws that arise, so still plenty of time to cancel. But as an AW3418DW owner, I expect this to be a huge upgrade! Thanks!!

I'm a little late to the party, but my AW3423DW arrives in 8 days at the time of this comment. I am beyond excited. I have had a LOT of issues with the Samsung Odyssey G7, and although it's an OK monitor, I'm so excited to upgrade to this it's hard to fall asleep. I'm just over the moon with excitement.

Edit: I explained my level of excitement twice, I'm even more excited thinking about my excitement.

Was hesitant to ditch my Odyssey G9 for this but finally made the switch a couple of weeks ago. Qd oled is no joke. The true blacks is something to behold and the hdr picture is amazing. In the end I'm glad I made the switch.

Something I think more people need to do in the review of this monitor is to get across the point of how different OLED/QLED/ QD OLED looks compared to other monitors. If you have an IPS, TN etc monitor that you're watching this video on, you *will not be able to tell.* You *must* go see an OLED in person to appreciate them.
