How Does Slime Mold Eat?

Jerry, our genius pet slime mold, can do some pretty impressive things. Solve mazes, design networks, math, etc. But today we wanted to see how jerry worked... on the inside. And see how nutrients distribute as jerry eats them. And the results were amazing

Watching Jerry go around probing the wall with force is equal parts adorable and terrifying. I could see this providing valuable information for environmental toxin/pollutant tracking, management, and cleanup.

Woah that was amazing to watch. I imagine this is sped up by a LOT, but seeing that pink just EXPLODE and literally instantly color one of the other oats was just amazing.

i came across a yellow slime mold on a hike, it covered half a downed tree and was gone within 2 days.

fun fact: slime mold is a great enginner too. after giving it oats where stations are supposed to be and making land that way, that he cant get to certain areas, where there is mountians irl or just bad landscape, it became almost identical to Tokyo metro tunnels, that were engineered for years to be the shortest and most reliable options.
