Nintendo's handhelds may have dominated my childhood, but that doesn't mean I didn't get to have some wonderful memories playing on the other consoles haha! Spider-Man 2 on the PS2 was probably my first taste of an open-world sandbox game. And almost two decades later, I wanted to revisit the experience through Insomniac's Spider-Man Miles Morales on the PlayStation 5.

For me, the best advantage of the PS5 over its predecessors is the loading times. Coming from handhelds, I just can't stand how long home consoles used to load. But with the PS5, it felt like playing a DS where loading times are much more reasonable. Now that's what a fast console is, and totally justifies home consoles today having to install the game on a drive.

Now let's talk about the IKEA of it all haha. The idea of getting the Fjallbo is actually spurned by my 55" TV that I used to have in my room. Finding it too big, I decided to just give it to the whole household. The problem is, we don't have anywhere to put it on; it's too big for our tables. And so, we got the Fjallbo TV Unit. Getting a PS5 further justified the move; it's very chonky, and looks really disproportionate when placed on the table we have.

As affordable as our 55" is, its speakers are mediocre. Good thing there are affordable good-sounding soundbars in the market like the TCL Ray-Danz 3.1, and looking good at that too!

To complete the look and make it a proper makeover, we also got the shelf unit, coffee table, and carpet. What wasn't really mentioned in the video was the Yeelight LED Strip that I put behind the Fjallbos. Figured it would be a fun surprise near the end (which was spoiled by the thumbnail–I know I know) hahaha

I worked in IKEA many years back, it was my first job and had been there for 4 years and I think I assembled far too many IKEA products during my time there.
