So the easiest way to open this to gently pry the edge of the cap with a screw driver. And then use something like a sliding wrench to open it.

If you have a vice then it would be easier. In my case, I didnt have a big wrench or a vice. I used oil filter opening tool with a piece of plastic to make the grip. I had to use both hands so I asked my wife to hold the can. It worked. And tested the same thing with the other can.

I just opened the can with some scissors. Just took the tip and snap the lid from the bottom .

You have to pry it open like a paint can.
