What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for Youtube, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! I also dabble in City Builders and strategy games like Civilization 5, Civilization 6, Dawn of Man, Stonehearth, Factorio and Rim World. The crashes don't stop but they do stop trading with you. I've tried every way to get water out of the tank and nothing. If you jump on top of the tank and move around a valve symbol pops up but you can't do anything with it. You are the only one who tests this stuff, it's awsome. Your gameplay is the best! Love the fact you don't spend half your video doing inventory managment, like some others 😉

My food theory is that it spoiled faster when you weren't near your base because the game didn't "remember" it was in the fridge (it just marked the time passage and applied it to the spoilage value). But it spoiled slower when you are in and around your base because the game has the fridge loaded in the whole time.

I'm seeing two theories with the trading: Either it stops once you get Rachel -- which is ironic because she needs friggin *apples* and traders sometimes have apples-- ; or Once you've traded each incident once (I haven't counted) they don't cycle anymore trade items. Might be a code refractor error or problem or just missing.
I like the second theory with the fridge! Perhaps, like said by @KDavis down below, it might indeed be a freezer/fridge combo based on storage slots. However, I doubt that ONLY because it seemed like the lower slots spoiled about the same rate as the locker slots and would thusly be not counted as part of the refrigeration. And do NOT feel shamed about thinking a lot in gaming. Devs often have to "think too much into" something just to get it to work. WE like to "think too much into" those things to get them to FUNCTION!

Thank you for all your experiments! That's something I absolutely love seeing as far as EA / Indie survival games. On Archery, Compound bows/Recurve use only the top 2 for medium distance. For long distance, (Compound) only, the bottom sight.
Pull arrow from above, while doing this. bring down in an, , L, , Remember that the top 2 sights are ment for medium range only. . I usually only use two sights or reflex. But, I believe the rules still apply if you were doing this for real. For long range, bring up in the, , F, , position. The second to the bottom sight will be for the bottom line of the letter, ,F,, and Long Range will same as before but a little higher. So the person is in position. For long range bring up spell F. The arrow will drop, depending on the winds, and gravity bring up spell short f.

So recap: Short Range - bring down in an L position
Medium/Long Range- bring up in short f
Long Range- Bring up in F position

I wonder if Scott would puck up the sticks and leaves that are left from the trees you cut down if you assign him in the same area. May be a way to help lag🤷‍♂️

Unless you can grow the stuff for the stews... I would say it is not worth it. He needs to fix that all. That was one thing I really liked about Subsistence. Raising the chickens to full size and cooking them with vegetables. My refrigerator was completely full with cooked meals. Raft was pretty good too for crops and recipes. I wish you could breed pigs an chickens in the game for food. Chickens in real life are incredible food sources.

Can you put a fridge in the truck for food storage? Then it doesn’t matter where you kill a bear, find an apple etc.

Great episode! If I came to your road and saw that wall and those imposing towers looking down on me, I'd keep walking. I think it'd be cool if the dev created a spotlight that could hang from the tower roof. It would swivel and the light would penetrate the darkness all the way to the paved road.

As for the fuel situation: I'm assuming the developer will fix the fuel respawn issue then make it that you'll have to put corn in the distillery to make alcohol to make biofuel to make farming corn essential for vehicles. In combination with the biofuel from fat or in addition to it or something.

I have chickens and they lay eggs but I have to take the chickens out of the coop and drop them outside to make them do anything. I think if their food and water is full they just lay in the coop. Eating the eggs is about as much as eating the corn. Also I have 2 bases, one in the mountains and one takes up half the community, both completely closed off and only the base that I have set as base won't spawn infected and the other will. Love the vids btw, keep up the great work.

Bet you could put the small or medium sky walkways between the towers lined up with those swinging gates on top and it would look dope

Pretty sure I used to get seeds from tomatoes. I like the farming aspect as just an added layer of "realism" to the roleplay. Ideally you would add the corn and tomatoes to soups to eat in addition to using the corn for the chickens that you can eat.

I built a watch tower on top of the house roof and put some storm lights up on the roof of that watch tower (jumping on the watch tower door and jumping on the roof)
So I have a beacon to navigate back to base when traveling in the dark or mist event

About the tomatoes they do yield seeds just not all of them.
Just like corn gives random 1-3 seeds when using harvest function tomatoes give 0-1 some WILL give you a seed but not all of them About half will give 0 seeds and the rest will give 1 seed.
At least that has been my experience so far.

Ur not the only one, even other gamers aren't getting the trade option so just simply open the hatch and loot and maybe breakdown the car, but MAYBE, atleast i hope it doesn't mess up the reloading of event carcrash . So do give it a try we wanna know ! 🙏

The developer needs to put in where you have to hold your breath when aiming with the bow especially if you run a long distance it would help with the arrow drop and your bow wouldn't be going up and down.

Maybe the dev is going to make a colony trading outpost that would help out in this game' And your base reminds me of maggie's hill top off of the walking dead. :)
