Thank you for all your videos it has helped my wife and i a lot. I have settled on the two fund approach roughly 90/10 with the stocks being swppx and snsxx from schwab. My question is i can add roughly 400 a month to these funds but was curious if i should focus solely on the i dex fund and then redistribute at the end of the year or try and balance out both. I feel like i will miss out on growth by going to heavy monthly in bonds.

But you can time the market: by rebalancing your portfolio. A two fund portfolio has you either selling overvalued stocks to buy consistent bonds, or selling consistent bonds to buy bargain stocks. The problem that most people have is that they time the market with no idea what time it is.

I have some Chase self invest accounts. I choose five or six low cost stocks and mutual funds that I prefer and just sit on it. Sometimes, I gain at least $50 a day and other times I lose at least $50 a day. The stock market is like a roller coaster, you just have to appreciate the ride!

As I read the title I instantly thought people over think the process. Too many people are too smart for their own good so they have doo doo for brains when it comes to investing.

I'm an individual stocks dividend investor. I buy in monthly, and I rarely sell. My default position is to hold forever (however, sometimes something happens that warrants a sell).

Yes I am smart, but I think I need to combine my intelligence with playing a very simple game.
