Full F-22 Demo: Exclusive Look Inside the Raptor

For the very first time, we're giving you an exclusive look at the complete F-22 Demo profile flown by Maj. Josh "Cabo" Gunderson. The F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team performs precision aerial maneuvers at airshows across the world to demonstrate the unique capabilities of the world's premier 5th generation fighter aircraft. The team also performs with the Air Force Heritage Flight Foundation to showcase modern day fighter jets flying in formation with World War II, Korean, and Vietnam era aircraft.

The team is stationed at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Virginia. In March 2007, the team participated in its debut air show at Tyndall Air Force Base. Since then, the team has performed more than 250 demonstrations across the world.

Got to see an F-22 demo in SF. Absolutely insane. He was able to do most of the maneuvers in what seemed like the radius of a baseball stadium.
Tail-slides in a fighter jet at under 2, 000 feet are next-level crazy . . . It’s still the king.

Saw one of these at the Reno Air Show a few years back. If I hadn't seen this aircraft's maneuvers with my own eyes I would swear they were impossible. One was where the plane went into a slow vertical climb and then just STOPPED and HOVERED NOSE UP. As in ZERO vertical movement. Absolutely astounding...

Seeing this thing in action while sailing and swimming in Lake Michigan at the 50th Annual Chicago Air & Water Show was a one of a kind experience I'll never forget. It takes all the laws of physics that apply to other planes and completely disregards them. It was like watching a UFO just slowly hover and rotate around defying gravity, before blasting off in a vertical climb and disappearing beyond the clouds.
