Big corporations won’t do anything because god forbid they could lose $$$

More cars more air conditioning more recreational vehicles.
More trees being leveled for development more concrete being laid.
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

The US military alone emits more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than entire countries such as Denmark or Portugal.

I'd wondered if effects could be regional, and this answers it if valid. 60% is significant, though I'd like to see more studies.

That's odd since China and India do most of the polluting.

Just how many Amazon spam bots are on here? Usually 60%-80% are fake accounts, but they're usually smarter than to have every 3rd post as spam. Not anymore!

UN said that there might be only 2% emission cuts by 2030, where cuts should be at 43% level.

Also earlier Guterres said governments are failing 85% of their pledges (NDC's). This means we are overshooting any given temperature limits, like 2, 8-3, 2C, and therefore our governments are aiming for well over 3C or even over 4C warming.

We are nearing 1, 5C limit this year (10 months at around 1, 54C so far). Next year will be worse. And Hansen et al. and WMO says we have about 15-17 years until we breach 2C limit. If we add aerosols, specially sulfur to the mix, then we end up to 1, 8C (IPCC) or even at 2, 55C (Hansen et al.) by 2022 temps. Sulfur emissions comes visible when we stop burning dirty fossil fuels. And that may have caused currently seen northern sea warming. Shipping cleaner air bans came by 2015 and 2020. Shipping is the only local element that causes sulfur emissions on large scale over seas. Sulfur acts as a droplet maker that forms the cooling clouds.

We have to stop burning fossil fuels and reduce other emissions near zero in next few years. Only after that we may see how badly we have damaged our climate.

There are already climate studies that says we are losing Greenland ice sheet and perhaps western Antarctica ice sheets (sea level will rise 3 meters or so, could be 2-4 times higher in northern hemisphere, like in NY, due to gravitational shifts in oceans). Timescale varies a lot due to human actions or emissions. We are very near of these tipping points or we may have crossed them already.

Methane level in the atmosphere is rising rapidly and now scietists are wondering if we have entered to ice age termination event. Methane level is going up with similar path that has been ending ice ages...

We have entered to a climate that is out of bounds and will cause unexpected things. Current changing speeds and warming are something that humankind has not seen, ever.

We have to adapt while killing our emissions. This will be extremely costly as monetarily and in lives. But continuing current way of life will be far, far worse. Every further 0, 1C warming kills 100 million people (aka. 1000 tons of carbon in the air kills a person).

This is unacceptable.

I'm doing my part to fight climate change by drive an electric vehicle but a tweaker stripped all of the copper wire from the charging station in my blue sanctuary city. The city says it's out of funds due to the migrant crisis and it won't be fixed. 👎👎

Well, well what a surprise, America dragging us all down even faster, as well as giving us all. a financial nightmare from 2008, no accountability whatsoever, well done, thanks a lot

Folks, all we need to do to fix this is drive bigger vehicles and be sure to let them warm up for a good half hour before driving to the market. And don't even think of that carpooling libbie crap. We all need to drive our own gas guzzlers.
The climate will return to normal in 3 months.

This is fake news. I'm in the Northeast and we've been getting very cold cool Springs and this past summer was average to below average almost for the whole entire summer and right now we're below average. We hardly had any hot weather. So not the whole entire USA is warming.
