An aquarium in southern China included a robot whale shark in one of its tanks, drawing many negative reviews from visitors.

Nobody is gonna talk about how fluid and natural the robot motions is.

I mean, IF the aquarium charged people 28$ for a whale shark exhibition without telling them it was a mechanical replica, then the reviews are completely justifiable, and the aquarium are scammers. But if the premises said clearly that there will be a shark robot instead of a real one, then the reviewers are just morons.

Honestly I would still be amused by the mechanical creature and happy to know no living animal being exploited and human being harmed, if they disclose it earlier and make it cheaper.

That robot is so much cooler than keeping a wild animal in prison. A completely robotic zoo would be wild.

It is pretty cool. You can't ethically keep great white sharks or whale sharks in aquariums so this is a great compromise. Aquarium admission also tends to be high to provide the animals' food.

I actual think that is pretty cool. That large of a robot being able to move around in the water effortlessly is amazing. Plus a mermaid show, it's worth it.

It's a super cool technical achievement and doesn't take shark out of their natural habitat for entertainment which makes it cooler
