This is great information he provides. I am a DME Rep for a national company, and I can tell you to run as fast as you can from UHC and Humana. I can't tell you how many denials we get from them when patients need life-sustaining devices. They sucker our season citizens who are about to go on a fix income of social security into the NO PREIMUM> It is really sad what our American health system has become. Remember, Doctors go to medical school not insurance school and they no longer have the final say in your health. This is left to the insurance companies.

I love this guy's personality and ability to teach. I bet he's a blast to hang around. I've learned so much about Medicare from him. I'm a retired RN Case Manager. Our department would watch his show as part of our Medicare SS updates.

I've been following/watching video of Marvin and Medicare School so much I could have done this video. Appointment made and waiting my few months until 65!

Never depended on the gov for anything in our lives but hubby's forced retirement at 65 due to stroke and my cancer (64) put us out in the cold after a lifetime of coverage from his municipal employment. Guess we're going with A/B/G/D and letting the gov. handle our health care. Can't afford ANY plan C on his pension. Don't want to wind up in the poor house over an Advantage plan. Pray for us.

I’ve been waiting for approval to start receiving Social Security. They mention on SS website the average wait is 30 days. A little research online says theres a wait of 3-4 months. Just thought I’d comment this so others applying can be prepared to wait.

Perhaps I missed the rule for retired FAA employees on an annuity. Is it correct at 65 I am put into Medicare coverage? Not clear on that. Thank you

Is there a one time exception to underwriting when turning 65 and switching from advantage to supplemental?

I am so confused. Retired early 5 years now and will be 65 next year but I have the Blue Blue Shields from my former employer (USPS), besides applying for Medicare A&B at 65 do I need to do anything else and still carrying BC/BS forward? TIA

Take it at 62 ! You may not live to 65, and you will take 20 years to make it up !

My AARP plan G also has a free gym membership and my welfare drug plan has no monthly premium.

I started Medicare at 65 and gave up my employer insurance, thinking it would be cheaper. NOT!!

There is one thing that should be mentioned. From what I understand, if you have an HSA plan through your employer, and are over 65, you must notify your employer 6 months in advance of taking Medicare and you and your employer must stop contributions to your HSA. You will be in a mess if you don't.

I havexTri-Care for life now and will turn 65 in a few months. Is this a good option to keep? A&B first, Tri-Care second

SS told me I had to take part A in a couple months. May of 2025 I turn 65. So is it the right choice for me to take part A and hold off on anything else because I still work and have company health insurance. It is free to me and I just started it January 2025. So I plan on keeping my ins at work cause it’s good and then take other part A march or April whenever I get the packet. And then I will keep it all until I loose my job or hit full retirement age because then I am going to go back to work full time to get company paid health insurance. So is it wise for me to do it that way? Thanks

WAIT! Did he say if I'm on Social Security, I'll automatically be enrolled in Medicare Parts A AND B? I thought automatic enrollment was only for Part A if one is on Social Security? I'm confused!
