Ok my phone literally doesn’t detect my face. I set up Face ID when I first got my phone about a month ago and it was all good but then it just stopped detecting my face. I reset it and have tried to set it up again but it literally will not accept my face. Wtf???

I'm finding this long after your originally recorded it. Nonetheless, I want to thank you anyway.

Apparently I originally did a bad test. I've never been able to get in. No I should correct myself. It randomly lets me in on my face, but usually I end up entering my pass code, so I decided to re-do it.

I tried by myself, same problem. But after I watched your video, I realized you were sort of randomly, showing it different parts of your face and the circle fills in when it fills in!

Tim Im glad you tested face id and I have to admit I was wrong. It works great. In most situations.

Actually it works with some sunglasses, not all though. Some that have a high UV blocker don’t work. But some sunglasses work while others don’t.

If you turn off Require Attention for FaceID the phone won't look for your eyes if they are looking at the phone so even with sun glasses it should work.

I'm a Note 8 user and have been using Face recognition for the last few years the only improvement I see is opening in the dark, which is great. I will give Apple credit. The Note opens just as fast but when it's dark it struggles. As far as the hype for face ID I don't see the big deal, it struggles at angles just like most facial id's have done for years..

Mine unlocks with sunglasses but I also did my initial face scan with my eyeglasses
