Female Hormone blood tests explained - from periods to pregnancy to menopause

Episode 6 of Hormone Blood Tests Explained. Today it's all about your female hormones. Health education is not great at the best of times, especially when it comes to women's health, so it's important to learn about your hormones - what's normal and what's not.

This video looks at your periods aka your menstrual cycle, and what regular or irregular periods mean. It looks at fertility, at polycystic ovarian syndrome or PCOS, at pregnancy and finally menopause.

You'll learn about oestradiol, progesterone, follicle stimulating hormone FSH, luteinising hormone LH, prolactin, testosterone, relaxin, oxytocin, anti-mullerian hormone AMH.
In American oestradiol = estradiol, and oestrogen = estrogen.

Had blood work to check hormones and didn’t know we could do that . And then I asked for a obgyn because I’m have heavy periods and clots I do have low thyroid as well once I started taking my thyroid medication 💊 my periods finally started coming
