AI in journalism is weird, because I remember listening to a story like 6 years ago about how the progenitor to OpenAI was already selling it's writing services to journalists, and how most places just didn't want to admit they were using it.
It's secretly been around for a hot minute, and probably was in use by Buzzfeed for a while.

The true talent (sans Unsolved and Worth It) jumped ship ages ago (and a lot of that talent was treated like shit before they bounced) and it's really just a content farm to clown on.
