I disagree with external drives. Sure they aren’t the best and fail somewhat often but I’d rather have some sort of backup than none at all

Make sure the power supply actually has 80 plus rating. The better the rating, the more efficient the power supply. It's one of the parts of the PC YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT CHEAP OUT ON. A good high wattage, high efficiency power supply can last longer than the OG build it was in.

Also yes, Win Defender is actually more than enough. Just make sure that it's being updated consistently. Don't ignore system updates because that also includes malware databases.

Mini PCs actually are really good, especially the AMD ones. They're not insane power houses for gaming, but are top tier for CAD and 3D modeling. They're high CPU horsepower, low GPU horsepower machines

I got a prebuilt gaming pc for 500 it had a few problems at the beginning with starting up but now it works amazingly so I’d say that if you find a good manufacturer a pc under 650 is quite a nice one especially if you’re looking for a more affordable option

Mini PC aren't that bad if you buy good ones. For example the Minisforum um790 pro can do 60 fps at 1080p medium setting on Miles Morales and many other games.

Windows defender isn’t as good as you think it is, I have dealt with a client that had windows defender but a virus completely deleted it from the system. It is very common for viruses to do this as it is a way to bypass the antivirus especially cause it has no anti tamper capabilities so it is very easy to exploit.

I use third party anti virus software because when you try to install a cracked program like Photoshop, windows defender will remove your file becuz it's cracked..
But the third party anti virus software will tell you it's not a virus and let you install it.

A gaming laptop of $650 is equivalent to ₹65, 000 in India for electronics.
I used such gaming laptop(hp victus) with ryzen 5 5600h and rx 6500m, I ran tekken 8, fifa 2023 in this and they were pretty playable.

I even ran arkham city and blur in a tuf with a gt 1650, it also ran fine. It was $520.

Antivirus are useful if you download a lot of stuff or work with stuff that wasn't inside your PC though, of course the paid ones are worth it, the free ones do the same as Windows Defender
