Bricks should always be cut on a bed of sand, to obsorbe, the impact, makes a cleaner cut

What's the name of that brick?
Asking because I have the same bricks. Which was an interior decorative wall (not structural or load bearing), that I want to make into pizza oven. Doing research about bricks so I know they won't explode when they heat up.
