Idea for the cords and cables: set up two boxes one full and one empty. As she uses cords and cables from the full box she can place it in the empty box when she's done using it and after a year she'll see what she's used and what is probably trash.

I felt Leesa’s anxiety at the beginning of the process. Then she became more positive about what was going where. Great support from you Carla. Best wishes from Devon UK

Leesa has a beautiful spirit, coping w/grief and releasing personal items is very challenging, having friends that are willing to help getting your home in order is a true blessing. My sincere condolences to her and their sons. I hope they emotionally support one another. ❤

We have a junk room. I go through it every few months and find anything I can get rid of and rearrange and clean floor. However, I have been watching your declutter videos and have been going through it again and STILL finding stuff that needs to go even though I go through it pretty often. In one of your videos you said “we are blind to our clutter.” That is so true. You look at an item so many times saying “Oh, I need to keep that b/c” or “oh that’s sentimental” and you keep that mindset unless you literally pick each thing up and make a decision about it.

Thank you, Leesa, for inviting us into your home and allowing yourself to be vulnerable. You did a fantastic job! And I am very sorry for your loss. ❤❤❤

I love that you are so sensitive to how someone decides what to get rid of and what to keep. The exercise gloves were a perfect example: you asked what she wanted to do and she wanted to keep both and store them. Over time, you persuaded her to try them on to help to work out which she preferred. You were gentle and kind until she had worked out what _she_ wanted to do.

Thanks so much for this show in particular. Lost my husband in July of 2021. I’ve packed some of his clothes up and given some to a gentleman in an assisted living facility who has no family. Im sure my husband would love and approve of what I’m doing. You are helping me move forward in this very difficult situation. Thank you both for covering this subject of what to do after a loss of a loved one. Just another note I love your choice of songs you play. Blessings to you ❤

I cant imagine how tough it was for her to go through that grief, the fact that she is still standing is incredible! ♡♡♡

I can relate. When my stepdad passed away in 2018 and then a couple of months after my youngest son left to the Airforce I felt so lonely even though my husband and my oldest were still with me. I became a shopaholic and stored everything in my sons room. Till this day I’m slowly purging everything and had a yard sale. I’m almost done and it feels so good. I was filling this void with material stuff. It’s crazy how different we all cope with a loved ones death.

This is such an important vid Carla. Thank you and Leesa. A very close friend passed away unexpectedly and a group of us helped go through some of her items. People’s items are so personal and often hold so many memories. 🌈🌸💜

I love that you both were hugging dolls while doing the intro to your video. I am in the process of decluttering my house too. Slow going but getting done.

Leesa needed a helping hand and you were there for her, now that's friendship. <3 Her room looks great now and she's probably carrying much less stress. Well done! :-)

What an incredible woman. Such strength. Loss is so tough and heart wrenching. It took me over 3 years to go through my mums things after she passed. Bless her, considering what family members may want to keep and cherish. I haven't finished watching yet, but hugs to both of you. You're also incredible for helping her. Xx

She reminds me so much of my husband’s aunt. Such a sweet lady. Such a hard thing to do, and she did great!
