How To Get Computer System Information Using PowerShell on Windows 10

When you want to get system information on windows 10, you can use the built in programs like system info, but you can get a lot of computer information via powershell, like memory, motherboard, installed programs, smart read out, windows updates, event id logs and lots more.

code can be found on my site

You have the same Motherboard as I do except I have the non-wifi version It's been a solid performer for me and I haven't had any USB issues that have been plaguing other AMD Motherboard users .... I really like the drive information it puts out

Powershell is powerful (dad joke) I would love to see more on Powershell! Maybe a bit on the basics of how to program in PS. Nothing too spectacular, just how to run a command, collect the results and do something useful with the results. For example, a script to handle the MS printer blue screen fault (They just fixed).... e.g. Check if the hotfix to fix 802 is loaded - load it using Install-WUUpdates

WMI has been a pretty powerful tool since the days of WinXP, I have always regarded it as the M$ version of SNMP, - both have vulnerabilities

"How To Get Computer System Information is the question!" I like Powershell don't get me wrong. Another option is Belarc Advisor. It'll give everything you need to know about your system. IMO. Look it up!

Always watch and pay attention to your informative comments and details as to the “guts” of a sometimes wanky OS, and, yes I mean Windows OS. One day they’ll get it right as regards what a user needs and how to protect the system. We’ll both be dead probably, but we can always hope.
