Secret from long ago.
Hold gas pedal to floor and count to 10.
Pump half way three times.
Wait three seconds, Hold pedal half way.
Turn ket to start.
DONE! This is not for fuel injection, Only for a real two or four barrel carb.

A much more easier step is to depress the accelerator pedel all the way while cranking the car. After 15 secs let go of the accelerator pedal but keep cranking the car until it starts but the engine will run rough so drive carefuly

One thing i learned....pull the fuel pump fuse while you crank
