the iFlynn cycle:
1 - quit warframe
2 - come back months later
3 - start a guide series
4 - don't finish it

repeat from step 1

Getting a PhD would be easier than getting back in this game

On the one hand, this is exactly what I needed to get back into the game. On the other, that sounds like too much and intimidating. Whatever happened to just running endless defense missions in corridor maps? Feels like now you need a PhD just to be able to make a build.

I havent played since 2017. Just came back today. I am lost atm so just jumping straight into random quests and finishing em. This should be alot of help!! Thanks!

I miss the old days when a Soma Prime was all you needed and tileset missions were all we had. Big sad.

i took a big break from this game, but the 1999 trailer has convinced me to download and try to get back into the game. with 1353 hours at time of writing, its kind of terrifying to me that 80 percent of this video may as well have been in greek for all that i understood.

I just wanna say, this guide is probably great, but I can't say it's the "ultimate" because it assumes players know how to play and navigate menus. I stopped playing 10 years ago, with over 600 hours of playtime. I'm straight-up a new player who is playing on an old account that doesn't give me any tutorials, doesn't tell me how to fight, is extremely OP to the point where enemies are dying before I can even shoot them. So I'm not even thinking yet about which missions to do first, but just how the heck do I learn the core basic mechanics. I figured out that I can slide and roll but I am not given any kind of training to help me understand how I should be using that stuff in combat.

With that said, it seems that a "beginner's guide" is more what I need, or a combination of the two, but even a beginner's guide isn't going to explain the kind of stuff that the game would've shown through tutorial missions or whatever.

I’m watching this and like I’m confused on how I’ve missed so much, and at the same time it’s daunting because why does every single thing need a faction leveling, secret side mission within hubs that also take hours upon hours to level, a billion resources to collect, like it’s a lot.

I need a squad or someone to like sit down and play for a few hours and properly lead me through just a little bit. These videos are cool but it’s just so much information thrown at your face that it actually turns me off from trying to play this game

Like wtf is is archon shards?? Why do I need ANOTHER set iof resources to grind and level up this is crazy

I left not long after the first open world came out. I was a spin to win fan and hated the melee rework. There is soooo many things I need to catch up on. I am MR 18, so I had played a reasonable amount, but I feel so lost. This game feels like Path of exile, new systems on top of new systems make it harder to get back into the game. But I like POE and I am sure Warframe will be awesome too.

5 year hiatus for me, when I quit I was at 27 MR because that was the max mastery rank. Now returning to the game for the first time since then, it's a whole new game. The last thing I remembered was waiting for the New War quest to drop after waiting years for it. I got around 1900 hours logged on Warframe, been playing since before there were Archwings. Can't believe there is so much content I haven't played yet. Imagine what it feels like to be a new player, overwhelming.

It seems like most people stopped after playing 300 hours.
Same story for me, last time i played was 2020, put 300 hours into the game and left to play other stuff, returning now feels like im doing a PHD on quantum physics with Pre School level knowledge

I’ve been away since the broken war sword mission or event… I can’t remember what it was but I remember you had to defeat the stalker to obtain it….. so it’s been awhile and seeing all the quests and changes makes me wanna try it again but at the same time worried about learning everything all over again
