This one hits really hard. My mom and dad had divorced before I was even a year old. And I remember, being 5 or 6 crying and asking my dad why he was never around. And in tears I asked her if he even loved me. She and I have never had the best relationship, but she pulled me close and started crying too and said "of course baby of course he loves you." I'll never forget when I finally got to see him again. I was 12. But for a while, I acted out and hated him because he never tried to see me. He never tried to contact me until I was 12. And it hurt. Deep inside it really hurt me. But now, I couldn't ask for a better dad. And we've talked things over and he understands why I was hurt and I don't hold any resentment towards him for it.

My mom and dad are still together but sometimes I think that there is something else missing, I thought it was nothing but I noticed that it is the family members I lost, but it's grateful to have someone say you still have with you 💖💖

True things change in ways we can never go back to, but when someone is unhappy then change is needed. One person can cause a whole family to hurt by staying, or by leaving. Everyone has to want to be together; willing to work together on living. We can't choose what other people do. Individually we can choose to appreciate who we spend time living with. I hope Peet that you spend your life with family and friends that show you the joy you bring them. <3 ~respect

separated parents sucks. My mom was always our main parent. She was our constant just like your beautiful mom. Dad gets to live away and start a fresh. I would do and think the same during holidays, where everything is family centred but it always feels like your missing that last peice of the puzzle. I wish you well Pete!
