For anyone who doesn't know what code blue is, it means a patient's life is a risk/they're flatlining. Code blue is the term used in hospitals.

I'm glad you can express this!
Children with sick siblings sometimes feel this way too.
But are too ashamed to admit it.
Children view life through feelings and emotions. So they can't logically understand the difficulties of their siblings.

I'm glad you touched this subject. Not everyone knows the medical difficulty just physical adversity. I didn't realize all your family members went through so many painful surgeries, not to mention... Healing and growing with these artificial adjustments fused with their bones. Bless every single person (young, old, non-dwarfs & medical marvels) who have the strength to push every day!

Edit: hearing that your brother was often called a code blue, broke my heart 💙 And y'all had to deal with it multiple times as kiddos.

Peet, I am glad they have you to show your families differences and their similarities. This is important! It’s your special gift to share this message with love and your humor. It’s also why God gave you to this family and God gave this family to you, because you are a Blessing !!!! The Love this family has for each other ❤is wonderful !!!!

That's terrifying, having code blue called multiple times for your brother... I hope you all know how unique, important, and how amazing you all are ❤️

Being the different one, you are the special one in your mother's heart. And I know she is thankful that you didn't have to go through all that your sibling has gone through. ❤❤❤ 😊😊😊

“… normal… made me feel like I didn’t belong.”

From a kid’s POV… indeed! This made me cry.

The young guy acting as Peet, indeed all the actors who have been cast as the siblings at different ages, is doing a great job.

Thank you for shedding some light on this side of dwarfism. I had no clue just how difficult life can be. Thank you for educating me. ❤

My friend from school is a little person and she married a man that is almost 6 ft tall…I haven’t seen her in 10 years but last I heard they are still married. They had two children, both daughters, both grown ups now, one of small stature and the other of normal height. When we’d see them out as a family when the girls were young, they always seemed to enjoy each others company, always smiling, Deb and her husband usually holding hands, or sitting close in restaurants. ❤️

Love that you wrote a book and turned it into a series! A creative outlet to help other kids that may have felt just like you. So sincere! That's the 🔑.

I appreciate your vulnerability. how you felt is completely understandable, being different doesn't always feel like a blessing, especially when you don't understand what is going on around you.

Peet didn't live the most normal life but that's what makes him special ❤️
