Bridget’s Problem with Gemini AI

The first part I agree with, but not the second part. Adding someone in is fine. Maybe I want a deceased family member in a photo or someone was there, but wasn’t able to get in the photo properly.

At least this one didn’t offer a celebrity to do the voice, get turned down, and hire a sound alike and not pay the celebrity to basically make everyone think it’s their voice ….

I am not a Google fanboy, but even I have to admit that it is hard to fault what Google has given us via the Pixel 9 series.

I find myself disagreeing more and more with Bridget's views on Generative AI. I find it disappointing that her perspective is so limited.

Expressiveness is part of human communication. Adding expressiveness to AI can potentially make it better at "getting to the point" by adding another layer to its message. Similarly, robots in the future will need to use body language to further improve their communication skills.

This also massively increases the potential of generative AI in the realms of video games, therapy, and learning environments.

If Bridget wants a robotic personal assistant, it can be accomplished by changing the system prompt. But there is no need to bash them for creating and using an incredible feature.

You give props to Google Pixel's event for doing live demos yet you speak so negatively without showing your viewers your demo. At least show us your immersive experience with it before taking shots at it.

Interesting take. While using Bard (precursor to Gemini) I got the same notion it was presenting itself somewhat like a 'humanized Ai'.
Maybe Google engineers coding it have an 'emotive' Ai as their subconscious, ideal or expected basis of it from many movies and tv shows across recent years, if you've watched the movie Her and Ex Machina you get what I mean.

The funny thing is OpenAI demo the same tech(Advanced voice mode), and from the looks of it, even more humanlike, and they were praised for being soo innovative. Google did it and now it's evil.. 🤦 let's stop the favoritism and just appreciate the innovation. Tech like this can help make life a lot easier same day. A little bit of positivity won't hurt 🤷
