Gene Drive by Interference

There are multiple strategies by which a gene or chromosome might attain a transmission advantage and display 'drive'. 'Interference' is one way and is seen in 'meiotic drive' in particular. Genes or chromosomes that display this type of 'drive' are clear illustrations of 'selfish genetic elements'.
