Take a look at the last hundred years of British royal fashion, from Queen Mary's chokers in the 1910s and the utilitarian austerity period of the 1940s, to Queen Elizabeth's monochrome suits of the 1970s and Princess Diana's boundary-pushing fashion in the 1990s.

The revenge dress is literally the best era of Royal fashion. Diana was so polished and sophisticated; her coming out in that dress was absolutely the greatest revenge.

Queen Elizabeth also wears the bright outfits so her security can spot her better against a crowd.

They know they CAN hire older models for the more mature looks, instead of putting a gray wig on a young model.

Glamour did a big miss by not mentioning Princess Anne, Queen's daughter. She was quite a fashionista of her time, and even today

I don’t know why I was expecting Queen Elizabeth for every single decade

First of all: Queen Elizabeth *II*.
And next, (just so u know) the Queen wears her vibrant colours so that her bodyguards can spot her in a large crowd. (I'm British xD)

The "choker" was invented far before. The "Collier de chien" or "Collier d'esclave" was a gift French noblesse gave to their mates as a symbol of loyalty, it was popular in 17th century. Marie Antoinette wears it in some of her famous portraits. :)

At least find a dress that drops below the knees for Queen Elizabeth, I don't think she approves being above lol

I don't think Wallis Simpson should have been used as a reference, to be fair. They didn't consider her royalty, and I'm sure she didn't dress to appease the royals.

The 1950’s dress was absolutely stunning! So many beautiful colors, looks like something someone would wear nowadays.
