The development of SpaceX’s Starship is hitting one obstacle after another. It’s been four months since the fourth test flight, yet Starship is still grounded, unable to launch again. Texas, the home of this ambitious project, is turning into a challenging environment for the next-gen rocket’s development at the moment.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), with its overly complex regulations and bureaucratic approach, has emerged as the main villain in Starship’s progress. The agency has repeatedly claimed that SpaceX violated both federal and Texas state laws, leading to multiple investigations and lengthy reviews.

A US Fish and Wildlife story. We used to live up a logging road in Oregon. It was a beautiful area adjacent to public land with a trickling brook. Beavers had built a dam that created a small pond. Wildlife gathered at the pond for water - deer, hawks, ducks, and a bunch of other small animals and birds. One day I came home from work and noticed Fish and Wildlife had placed a bunch of signs along the road that read “Riparian Area. Soon Fish and Wildlife showed up with chainsaws and other equipment. They trapped the beavers, blew up the dam, and destroyed the pond. They ruined a perfect, beautiful area, created by nature, for no sensible reason. This is what US Fish and Wildlife and the Bureau of Land Management do. They destroy what is beautiful and replace it with what is ugly.
