Thanks for the suggestion, I picked up my 2002 tarus for 600 bucks, Drives like a champ but sounds like a diesel when im idling

Watched your video and others found the vacuum line on the fire wall side of the plenum had loosened
acted just like a misfire or a broken valve spring. Used very long pinchnose plyers put it on the fitting ..

#4 is the exhaust valve? Did I hear you correctly? I have a '92 Taurus SHO, and the idle is rough. I am starting to think that it's normal, but I can't help but wonder. The EGR-271 was changed. A new feedback sensor installation recently, and the idle is rough the same.

Thanks, great video! I have a Ford Freestar. Running very rough, Gave error codes po174 and po2196. I changed all 02 sensors and reset ECU, I also changed spark plugs&wires, EGR, MAF, fuel filter and cleaned PCV valve, Car still runs rough and throws the code po2196 even after reset??? At wits end!! Very frustration. Have a 2004 Ford Freestar 4.2

I’m looking at a 06 I’m diesel mechanic I’m going but what they dealer that has it told me #3 internal misfire I’m going look at it fired any idea

Damn. I need friends like you. My 2005 Mercury Mariner is starting to act up and I have no idea what it is. Possibly this same problem. I hope it’s not cuz I can’t fix it myself. I can fix a Chevy but I don’t know Fords. Lol!!

My 2005 Taurus is only surging while going uphill about 30 miles per hour. Always up the hill so that the mysterious part.

Is surging different from a sticking throttle cable?

I remember mine i got one on the otherside not so lucky got more extra work but eventually i get over it coz its too much of taking out the other stuff. But i got it fix. Better than a broken or bent piston rings or rod.😂😂😂😂😂

Hello. I have a problem with my Taurus 2002 DOHC Duratec 24v 3.0L, the engine have some kind of grinding or screeching sound near the water pump. Always, no matter hot or cold. Very loud, from the inside sounds like my muffler fell down on the ground and Im pulling it..Do you have any idea what could it be? Thank you
