EASY CORNBREAD RECIPE | HOMEMADE CORNBREAD

Here is an easy recipe for soft, delicious cornbread. Put some butter or honey on top and pair it with soup, or a warm bowl of chili.

𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup sugar
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 eggs, beaten to blend
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 cup milk
𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦
Grease a 10-inch cast-iron skillet or 8×8-inch pan with butter or baking spray. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
In a large bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add eggs, butter and milk. Stir until combined. Pour batter into greased pan.
Bake until edges begin to pull away from the pan sides and toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 20-22 minutes. Serve warm.
