His 100% dedication to the characters he plays and his personal disregard for what you think is delicious

We need Nicolas Cage on an hour long podcast so we can actually just listen to his thoughts, what hes learned in his life and everything else. He really is an intelligent person which you can tell he puts thought into his answers no matters how trivial or thought provoking they are.

I love how he doesn't hesitate to talk about film and storytelling in a way that feels true to him. He knows his history.

The dude became a legend of indie movies after his carrer took a dive and he came back on top just by keeping acting. Mandy is pure greatness.

What I love and respect about Nicolas Cage is his fearless dedication. There is not a thing this man will not do on camera to make his characters more believable for the audience

How fun is this guy. Being 100% himself and caring so deeply about his craft. The way he moves through the world and his work is truly the life of an artist.

Nicolas Cage gave some solid answers in this interview. Despite his "crazy, out there persona" people associate with him, he is actually quite intelligent which speaks to his brilliance as an Actor/Thespian.

I love the way he looks at Stephen after saying "and I don't want to be thought of as a hypocrite, I'm sorry if that sounds pretentious". His daring stance was saying "I said my word, the ball is now on your court".

The way he carries himself and talks about movies in general and some of the thought processes he goes through to tell a story, is actually quite impressive.

Nicolas Cage's pretentious response to Stephen's bringing up the "Thespian" misquote was truly brilliant.

A few years ago, back in 2009, when he was living in Bath in the UK, a young lady whom he didn't know stuck a note in his letter box asking him if he would turn on the city's Christmas lights. He could have given any excuse to decline, but he didn't hesitate and the evening was a big success and he gained even more fans than he had before. Definition of a very cool guy....

Nicolas Cage is very much in his own league. There's something so charismatic about him that makes him stand out among his peers. An actor (sorry, Thespian!) with the ability to morph his talents for character acting into so many tiers of film, from Blockbuster to Indie and everything in between. A true legend of our time, much like his Idols Brando and Lewis. Thanks Nic for all your inspiring words and passion for your craft. You deserve all the love and recognition in the world, and please never stop making movies!

There isn't a single movie he's been in that wasn't a better watch for having him in it. I'll die on that hill. And I'll chew the scenery doing it!

Nicolas Cage rocks! National Treasure, Rock, Con Air, Face/off, Gone in 60 Seconds, Kick ass, Family Man, his fictional portrayal along with his voice acting roles are my favorites.

His complete self awareness, humour and dry wit have always made him one of the best for me... and the fact he still continually tries to find the best in every role and tries to improve and learn from every role is so so good.

When he mentioned German expressionism, Dwight Frye and Bela Lugosi my heart melted ❤

He barely gets a movie in theatres these days, yet he still knocks a crowd dead.
Love him.

His riposte to Colbert's accusation of pretentiousness was a freakin' mic drop moment.
