How is it possible that molecules like LSD, psilocybin (in magic mushrooms) and ecstasy (MDMA) as well as many antidepressants can all affect serotonin receptors? In a word: pharmacophores!

CORRECTION:
**In the structure of MDMA shown in the video, there is a methyl missing alpha with respect to the nitrogen, but it's not part of the pharmacophore.** Great catch by my organic chemistry rockstars! Apologies from FabioChem who somehow missed it in the final review.

I had a subarachnoid hemorhage a few years ago, i feel way closer to normal when taking psilocybin, when I stop taking it after about a couple weeks i feel bad again, depression brain fog, anxiety sore body, headaches and pain, but when i take it it i feel 70 percent normal again, it helps tremendously even in small doses, . I wish i had help or at least a understanding of whats going on with me
