Travel Hacks for a Bulky Liquids Bag for Airport Security:
Number 1 hack I learned 10 years after flying standby is to pack liquids horizontally.
Number 2 is to pack containers of liquid with like items. So take out that small container and pack all of the long ones first.
Number 3 hack is to fill in pockets of space with small containers or by packing skinny items vertically.

I started using contact lense containers for certain lotions and it works great!

I do all of these travel hacks, thanks to you. But I learned one additional thing. That's several airports in Europe, the last one, in my experience, was Heathrow, is that make sure you put a quart size bag inside that specialized liquids bag, because there may be a security agent who will not allow the liquids bag through and make you transfer everything to a quart size bag.

I tried taking that transparent zipped bag on EasyJet and they confiscated it. They said it had to be a flat polythene sandwich bag, not bag a couple of inches thick.

My hack to look for a 3-1-1 bag that is about the size of a paperback novel, but is 2 quarts. Airport security isn’t measuring anyone’s bags, so if it looks about the right size it’ll probably get through OK
