Team GB celebrated their most successful Olympic Games since 1908 after securing 65 medals across the 39 disciplines including medals from Jess Ennis, Tom Daley, Chris Hoy, Ben Ainslie, Bradley Wiggins, Andy Murray and many more.

I loved every moment of London 2012 and I still get goosebumps watching the video clips.  Very proud to be British.

I went to NYC shortly after this and whenever people heard my accent and asked if I was English, they congratulated me on the London Olympics. It was weird but also made me feel very proud of my country.

This was exceptional sportsmanship from the UK. These Olympics touched a lot of people, including your Trans-Atlantic cousins here in the US! I even cried when Jessica Ennis won, and I'd barely heard of her then. I also think Andy Murray is an absolute legend. GB captivated and dominated in 2012 as far as I'm concerned. Normally, I would never utter such words- but when I recall these London games, I have to give in and say Rule Britannia:) Lots of love from California.
