FULL FRENCH DRAIN VIDEO:

Always make sure to stand on your french drain pipe when you're pouring the stone in your trench. The pipe is lighter than stone. That's why you see the men always standing on the pipe or holding the pipe down with shovels when they're pouring the stone. Be very vigilant of that - you want to keep your pipe at the very bottom.

I layed some pipe in my day. Sometimes excellently...other times a rush job. It's just how it goes.

Dad always said
Son if you’re gonna lay pipe give it your best and do it right.
That advice has always served me well.

Bruh I did French drains for a couple summers in Huntsville Alabama. That shit was so freaking hard, I was amazed at my coworkers agility and how small dudes can still move literal tons of various earth. Hats off to you gentlemen I went into mechanical technology I couldn't keep up!

....my old man used concrete 'PorousWall Pipe in 1961/62 when he installed a French drain in our back yard to take excess water to the street...I dug the trench 60 years ago

"Because if a stone gets underneath your pipe, that's what happens"

Also, don’t test it with water until you have enough stone on the pipe to keep it down! The first time I laid a pipe I tested the trench by filling it with water. The pipe popped up above the bottom layer and I had to do the whole thing again. Leveling that pipe correctly in the trench is a pain and then to have it pop out is twice the pain.

Never put your body in the line of danger. Don’t use your body as a tool, use the shovel or other means

You actually show how it's done unlike some people that make these kind of videos and all you see is them talking to the camera and their workers working in the background lol

Yup, I did that wrong the first time but was able to notice before putting too much in

I mean what we do is that we put 300 mm of sweet sand under and above the pipe and then some sand stone mixture, this way it’ll protect the pipe after compaction

Good advice but Why are 2 pipes on a Y connecting to a single, and not ran individual all the way out. Won't that affect water flow?
