Here potential energy on a ball will get completely converted to kinetic energy after a long time
So
For 1st ball, kinetic energy= q(potential due to all charges)

For second ball, kinetic energy=q(potential due to all charges-potential due to first ball)
Potential of first ball subtracted as it has already left the system

Here's a better alter:
By obsv: ∆KE=K=kqq/a for 1st and wnd ball as for 2nd ball all balls are contributing to energy except 1st (as it has left the system) from here result can be obtained by mere rearrangement of terms.

Sir, how potential at A that is V..is used for finding...potential at B's location ...where u have used it! as it was the potential due to all charges?

what if it's not mentioned to refer adjacent charge to be released and any of the charge can release from this n-gon . what will be the solution?
