That is a nice fish. I remember catching king fish when id go to florida, they were so good. Cut some of it into steaks, grill it up just hours after catching it

For a lot of people who don’t know, this is called hand casting and most of the world outside western countries hand cast, I grew up hand casting and didn’t use my first rod until 18.

Nice! We use almost the exact same rig to commercial fish for Atlantic King Mackerel here in Florida. Our Kingfish. Very similar to these in the Indian Ocean

What skill amazing. He finessed it all the way to the boat hardly any pressure on it. Then brilliantly gaff the tail-end to get it out of the water without it's fighting
