Just make your ridges all in one direction, like how you would trowel tile. That way air can escape when you hammer it down and you don't get any weak spots where there are air pockets

Dont furrow it put feb in mix and tap down til comes out joints clean later

1) Prime your slabs
2) Lay onto damp mix sharp sand and cement.

To me looks like there's not enough cement there compared to the previously laid slab but that's maybe just me

It’s not cement, it’s concrete, but - You’re better off just laying them onto compacted sand.
