I've called legal aid before that gave me advice and then when something actually goes down they renege or have given me bad advice and then cop out. I told him their advice would still result in me being asked to leave the property which it did and then once we went through with everything there was no help for me and nothing protecting me

If a lawyer gets in legal trouble can they be their own lawyer?

1. It's certainly not a bad idea to at least *_try_* a Legal Aid Society, but be aware that they only handle certain types of cases, and if yours doesn't fall into their short list of case types that they handle, you're outta luck.

2. Law school clinics: They might be able to give you some legal advice, but they're not going to actually represent you or handle a case for you.

Also if you have a case coming up go to it and you can ask for a court appointmented lawyer, not all are great but I got lucky and had a great one that got everything dismissed and it cost me $0

In India, the court has to provide you with a lawyer if you can't afford one...

In India, if you can't afford a lawyer and have to face the court, the court/govt. will get you a lawyer to represent you. Because it is your right to be represented in a court.

How is one supposed to defend themselves from false accusations? Do they need to have a video camera on them at all times? What do they need to do because it's absolutely ridiculous
