It really struggles with opening big assemblys and Steps, and it also has huge performance issues while working with big assemblys. Thats why we are pushing to make the change to Catiain our department.

But apart from that, its most intuitive program I used so far.

So in short, for small to medium assemblys SW is the tool to use imho. If it gets complex, use something more powerful.

At the same time solid works is easy to use unlike other software...

Fusion360 was half decent 3 or 4 years ago but since then they have systematically trashed it.

Why do companies choose SOLIDWORKS? Because it's cheaper than any other usable cad system, and who makes the decision about software purchase is not a competent manager who probably not an everyday user. Easy to use? Lol, just ask about an ordinary engineer, what's his opinion about the "sw's powerful" capabilities, when he is waiting to sw to open a massive assembly or just opening a bloody step file.
