Thanks Pat. I took a big loss with my sales job and although towards my last month working there I improved more and faster than any other person in that office AND my sales calls were miles ahead of where they used to be, but I still don't know what happened. I know it was me and I know that my habits stopped (it was partly due to the work atmosphere and my boss telling me that reading books won't help me, and also myself for believing them). I know for a fact though that you had a video which started like "I've made my choice. I will win today". Well I wrote that entire video down in my notebook and used to read it every day before and after work. I cannot stress how often I felt like giving up, literally every day. But I would recite that video every day, it even brought me to tears on numerous occasions, to keep pushing and keep going and to never give up. It was call centre sales. My biggest fear was talking on the phone. It was the one job I didn't want to do. But I did it and for 6 months I recited that video every day. It got me through and by the end I actually loved the job. Eventually I was the top on the board for the week. I kept improving almost every day after that. In fact, my own boss and sales couch were fighting for me to keep that job, but the numbers weren't coming through and I really don't know what happened. That last week at that job I had improved so much Pat. Even though I eventually was let go, I found happiness in knowing I did much better than I ever thought possible.

I watched this for the third time this morning, and it means more now than it did the first time. At first I was like I don’t have this problem. Then I thought about all the reasons why I haven’t done the things I wanted. They were excuses that weren’t valid because I didn’t do whatever it takes. Thank you valuetainment.

You always seem to drop in with these important mental jewels just when I need them for my journey. I've been doing this very assessment for the past couple of weeks preparing for the next quarter of the year and the goals I have to complete and these questions and reminders are just what I needed today.
