Why does there have to be music under the interview? I have a hearing problem and it makes it ever so much more difficult to hear and understand what is being said. The music is nice but it gets in the way of the interview itself.

I think Walter Isaacson must be the one who has to write biography of Bill Gates. He knows him better than anyone

Isn't that just saying that the ends justify the means? I think both need to be in balance, otherwise what is the point? That is also at the heart of "Thinking Different" too. For example, Apple doesn't want to bring its cash into the US and pay a 40% tax, yet it enjoys a 40%+ markup on its products. This is Hypocrisy 101. If 40% margins are okay for itself, then why not others? The race to the bottom, suicides and 50+ hour weeks at factories. Well, it all began with a blind eye to respect and basic humanity. Great products don't cover these sins.

If you look at history and the titans of Silicon Valley - Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and even people like Jack Tramiel who was responsible for the Commodore 64 - they were all pretty ruthless and driven individuals, and whilst they might not have been nice to know - although they could be charming when they chose to be - their achievements are certainly on the right side of history.

This man is totally brilliant. I'm reading his Ben Franklin....it's amazing. But after researching the Aspen Institute, and finding out that it takes members of congress and lectures them about progressive leftism....leftist.... feel sad that this guy fell for communist ideology.
