The Israel - Iran Proxy War Explained

I think One of the most tangible examples of economic cooperation between them was the Eilat-Ashkelon Pipeline Company (EAPC), which was an oil pipeline constructed in the 1960s to transport Iranian oil to Israel. They were originally 50/50 partners on the venture. One of the reasons the pipeline was built was to bypass Egypt's control of the Suez Canal after it was closed to Israeli shipping during the Arab-Israeli conflicts. That means the pipeline allowed oil to flow from Iran through the Red Sea to Israel, where it could then be refined and shipped to Europe.

Or look at this declassified and sanitized CIA document that my handler gave to me, I mean that I found in my research, this document reveals how closely Israeli and Iranian intelligence had worked together in the 1960s and even in the 1980’s. Here’s a quote from the CIA document: “Israel regularly sold armaments to IRan during the Shah’s reign mainly small arms mortars and ammunition provided engine overhaul and maintenance support for Iran's air force an army and extended technical support to IRan’s infant defense industry” redacted section. Then it says “the arms sale gave a significant boost to Israel’s fledgling defense industries and barter arrangements secured much needed oil in return for arms and technical assistance” end quote. So The CIA facilitated this friendship to the degree that they could because it worked to balance against the soviets.

Much of geopolitics involves hidden motivations and alliances that we often do not learn about until many years later.
Lets make no mistake, Iran and Israel were not very public about the depth of their relationship. This was a closested friendship because of a number of reasons not least of which the potential backlash from other Muslim-majority nations if they found out about this. But behind the scenes, they worked closely together. Here’s how this frinemie type situation worked. So Iran supplied Israel with oil, and in return, Israel provided military aid. This unlikely alliance was built on mutual security concerns. Classic, You scratch my back I’ll tickle your fickle arrangement.

France harbored Ruhollah Khomeini and gave him a house to live in when he was exiled from Iran and then Air France flew him back to claim the throne after the revolution he organized was successful so basically this is all France's fault

A very fine reference to Batman and Joker. There is an issue of Batman comics where Joker gets immunity by becoming Iranian ambassador to the UN.... just saying. It was crazy 80s comics....

What really irks me about the Iranian Revolution was how blatantly the Ayatollah lied to the women who sided with the revolutionaries, stating that he would not only respect women's rights to basic human rights like education, self-agency, and equal opportunity, but even go beyond that and elevate them to a standard that would allow them to stand head-to-head with the males in their society.

We all know what happened to that: not even a month in after the success of the revolution and they already repealed multiple laws that gave women more freedom in society, such as now enforcing the mandatory Hijab, segregation of women from men, and barring women from certain educational institutions.

The Ayatollah even emphasized the "huge role" that women played in the overall revolution despite going back on his word of increased freedom for them. Given, the Pahlavi rulers weren't saints either, but the Ayatollah and his fellow clerics were just as bad if not worse.

Fun fact: While Israel and Iran did not conduct any formal joint operations after Iran's revolution, Iran provided (indirect) support to Israel's 1981 Operation Opera, which targeted the Osirak nuclear facility in Baghdad, Iraq.

Persian American here. Thank you for making this video. Iran is the most misunderstood country and we need more people like you educating people with facts. Hopefully Iran and US will be close allies once again. Iranian people inside and outside Iran love America because it represents what Cyrus the Great (Our king) once represented.

Persia, Turkey and Egypt are and have always been the major players in the middle-east. This has not changed in the last 120 years and it probably will not change at all. When looking at Iran, you have to understand that the dream of a Persian empire is always present. Westerners are so used to countries peacefully existing with each other that they forget that not all countries are led by western values of live and let live. Some have ambitions to step-up to and even usurp the western dominance over their regions and the world, spreading their own ideology and gaining power and prestige instead.

Using a shelving EQ or high-pass filter to cut frequencies below 80 Hz will remove the bass plosives picked up while speaking into the microphone. Production quality has noticeably improved over the past few months, keep up the good work.

I really appreciate that sponsor shout-out, I just picked up three new AIs for my personal F16, and that has really helped me to coordinate with my personal drone wingman so much better! Thanks spare parts army!

I attended USAF technical school with Iranians in 1976. Very odd group that held hands and kissed. The Shah was brutal towards them. Fail one block of instruction and you were returned to Iran and probably didn't make it beyond the bottom of the aircraft stairs.
