I read about your grandfather. I hope you’re doing alright. I didn’t loose anyone but I did total my car which was worth the world to me. Just know that it can be hard and it may not get better for a long time, but it will eventually.

I first didn't get the moment with the rope and the flipped chair, but it's about making the viewer believe first, that the soldier was so sad, that he got suicidal and hanged himself, but didn't cuz he put the chair up and put the flowers to scout's grave (symbolic for being at his last stage of grief: acceptance), right? Or did he really killed himself, because that's why he appeares without a head? I love how this animation is so abstract, they give you room for interpretations.
