Want to know the easiest way to add fresh flowers to a cake??

Adding fresh flowers to a cake can be complicated. Between finding the right type of flowers to use, worrying about wrapping the stems, and then trying to figure out how to cut the cake with them shoved into the frosting, it can be a nightmare.

That's why I like to use a different method! I don't use any floral tape, and actually create a removable top using an extra cardboard round.

This is a good method if you are covering the entire top of the cake with flowers. Great idea! I do have to say that in my opinion, it's still not safe to use ANY flowers, some are toxic and still should not be near a food product. I have a Flower Identification Guide for Cake Decorators available to help identify safe and toxic flowers. For example, baby's breath and some lilies are not safe.
