my aunt suffers from this last week. massive bleeding on the brain. when i saw the ct scan. i dont think someone can survive from that much blood on the brain doctors says it can fill a regular glass of water with that amount of blood. i just cry and cry. she stays in icu for 2 days then passed away. the most painful part is we are all helpless, we can't do anything and just wait for her to leave. i hope you found your peace aunte Gaga. This is really inspiring, my father had a stroke a few weeks ago and still is in the hospital, after pneumonia from aspiration but he is stable but seems very weak and less motivated, stories like these show how much recovery can still be made

Occupational therapy physical therapy using the person's hands arms and legs and shoulders and feet ankles neck it depends upon the person

My father, at 76 yrs old, had a severe stroke in his cerebellum 5 yrs ago and was intubated and unresponsive. Was airlifted to a trauma hospital where they wanted to do this surgery but also advised he would end up a vegetable with no meaningful recovery. We chose not to operate. Later that day, he 'woke up' (still intubated) and his prognosis changed. Every doctor was shocked as they'd been preparing to move him to palliative care. It was a difficult recovery, his lungs had to keep getting fluid suctioned, he was on feeding tube etc. Eventually he survived being extubated successfully in ICU. He had to slowly get his mobility back in Stroke Rehab, and suffered motion sickness nausea for 6 months. BUT - he recovered to about 95% of what he was before the stroke. Just a little slower in walking but he could go up and down stairs, cook, he rebuilt a gate in the backyard, did light yard work, his mind was sharp as ever. It was incredible! Stroke in the cerebellum, if you can survive the initial week, offers good opportunity for high level of recovery without paralysis. Good luck to everyone out there. I am so proud of what my father accomplished and the quality of life he had in his last 5 years, and the help I was able to offer him during his recovery. He passed at 82 just recently. I miss him every day.

He Survived. My Dad of 85 years didn't - he had the Hemorrhagic Stroke at 3am on Monday 13 February, and died in hospital at 5:15pm the same day.
