I suffered a stroke in 2013 a week before Christmas 🎄! Everything you said I can identify with! It’s been 9 years now and since then I have resumed normal activities through prayer, my faith in God, family, and physical therapy. My recovery is a miracle even though I’m still not at 💯 % people who never met me before can’t tell I had a stroke. I want to encourage others who are recovering from a stroke to not give up on yourself! Listen to your doctors advice and take your physical therapy seriously. Maintain relationships with those around you who are positive and not negative! My faith in Jesus Christ and divine healing kept me grounded. My heart goes out to anyone who is a stroke survivor because we survived a life changing event. Blessings!

I had a stroke in May 2023, and spent two months laying on a bed at a military hospital in Northern Virginia. The one thing I can say it's the worst thing telated to the stroke is that I forgot how to cry--My brain forgot how to cry!! My eye doctor says that it will take about a year to be able to cry tears again. Thanks for sharing your story. God is in control of my life. Amén and Amén!!

I am 35 and I suffered a stroke six months ago. Although I recovered within 15 days. But the PTSD omg. Still going through it. I have gained a lot of weight even though I am dieting and leading a healthy life. Hopefully one day the sun will shine brighter than ever. I am greateful <3. Listening to your story made me realise that I am not alone.

I had a stroke 2 months ago...i am 36 yrs old...still recovering as it affected my memory..very traumatic for me as I couldn't remember even my own name...i overworked and didn't have a healthy lifestyle...now i'm trying to get better..it still is challenging for me since during recovery, i am struggling with overthinking about the work i left since i am still in recovery; whether i will have another stroke; how i will have another work that won't trigger another stroke...it's very scary for me...😢

My mom had a mild stroke 2 days ago. My world shattered!! Because there is no superman that exists or no Captain America. Just this woman who has done everything in her power to help others. Especially me. That's the real fckin superhero! I find myself so angry when she isn't, she's just ready for recovery. I promise to God I don't wish this feeling upon my worst enemy. I'm gonna do everything humanly possible to get my mother back to the strong and sassy woman she was not even a few days prior. Please take care of yourselves and loved ones people ❤️ I love you all!

My little brothers called me to say their Dad has had a stroke in his sleep. We lost our mum 5 years ago and they’re only young still. The thought of my little brothers losing both parents is the scariest thing ever for me. They don’t deserve to go through such trauma. I’m praying he’s going to be okay, these amazing stories are reassuring me a little. Such strength ❤

Hi Im a stroke survivor, I had a stroke and did'nt know what was happening. And I tried to over come it like I've done with other sickness. And while I was standing I fell to the side and broke my ankle but did'nt know because I could'nt feel nothing. But my daughter came and found me on the floor the next day ( I live alone). She rushed me to the hospital and I did'nt get treated until 11 hour later. to make a long story short when I got home, I walked funny cause I did'nt have strenth on my right side, couldn't talk right, so I decided I did'nt want to stay that way, so however I could I would exercise my legs and arm daily, First day I could only do 1 or 2 counts whatever the exercise was, after 3 weeks I was doing 30 counts of each exercise. I live alone, I walk and talk, do all my house work, shopping, everything on my own. I give all the Glory and Honor to Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior for what He has done and continues to do in my life. And Im praying for all of you that have had a stroke.
