An unintended, maybe intended side effect of digital money I just thought about. Homeless people will never get money from begging again. I assume it is already way harder to beg for cash, but who is going to stand there and do a Fed transfer? Will they even have a means to do a transfer?

Also, they would be able to do automatic income tax deductions. Would that transfer, or one from your grandparents for $20 trigger an income tax payment? Or buying something from a random on FB marketplace trigger sales tax?

If physical cash is a factor of M2. I did notice when using the ATM in 2020. That a 15 to 20 of those twenty dollar bills would be sequential. Once off the bank's balance sheet. Those printed dollar bills going to be counted as M2 outside the banking system?
